A little structure. A lot less confusion.

How NoBagrets Works

Buying, selling, trading, and finding the items you love.

Welcome to NoBagrets!

Whether you're looking for your next favorite bag, selling one that's ready for a new home, trading with another member, or hunting for something specific, we're here to make the process easier.

If you've spent much time in Facebook BST groups, you'll probably recognize a lot of how things work here. We've just given the process a little more structure, better tools, and hopefully a lot less confusion.

TL;DR (For Those Who Don't Read Instructions)

Find something you love, connect with another member, and work out the details directly.

Sellers create listings, buyers express interest, and members communicate through NoBagrets.

Payments happen directly between buyers and sellers, not through NoBagrets. Once payment and fulfillment are handled, members confirm the transaction and can review each other.

Want to trade instead? You can do that, too.

Looking for something nobody has listed? Create an ISO request and let the community know what you're hunting for.

Buy it. Sell it. Trade it. No Bagrets.

Found a bag you absolutely need?

Or at least one you've convinced yourself you need?

No judgment. We've all been there.

Here's how buying works.

Step 1: Request to Buy or Message Seller

Browse the marketplace, explore brands, and use filters to find something you're interested in.

When you find a listing you like, you have two options:

Request to Buy: Let the seller know you'd like to purchase the item.

Message Seller: Ask questions, request additional information, or discuss the item before deciding.

Sending a message doesn't automatically start a purchase transaction.

And requesting to buy doesn't mean you've already purchased the item. The seller still needs to agree to proceed.

Step 2: The Seller Accepts Your Request

When the seller agrees to move forward, they'll accept your request and the listing will be marked Pending.

This means the seller is working with you on the purchase.

You'll arrange payment directly with the seller using a mutually agreed-upon payment method.

NoBagrets doesn't collect or hold your payment.

Step 3: The Seller Confirms Payment

After the seller receives and verifies your payment, they'll mark the transaction Payment Received.

The listing is considered sold, but the transaction isn't finished yet.

Your item still needs to make its way to you!

Step 4: The Seller Fulfills the Order

Once payment has been confirmed, the seller arranges shipping or local pickup according to your agreement.

If the item is being shipped:

The seller selects Mark as Shipped and provides the shipping carrier and tracking information when available.

If the item is being picked up:

The seller selects Arrange Local Pickup once the item is available for collection.

You and the seller coordinate pickup arrangements directly.

Both methods lead to the same next step.

Step 5: Confirm Receipt

Your bag has arrived, or you've picked it up!

Once you've received and checked your purchase, select Confirm Receipt.

This tells the seller you've received the item and completes the transaction.

If there's a problem with your purchase, contact the seller before confirming receipt.

Step 6: Leave a Review

Once the transaction is completed, you and the seller can leave reviews for each other.

Reviews help members build reputations and give others a better idea of what it's like doing business with them.

Both members can also respond to reviews.

Be honest, be fair, and remember there's an actual person on the other end of the transaction.

Selling: Ready to Find That Bag a New Home?

Have a bag that's been sitting in the closet?

Maybe your collection has gotten a little out of control.

We won't tell anyone.

Here's how to turn that bag into your next sale.

Step 1: Create Your Listing

Start by creating a new listing.

Select the appropriate brand and category, upload photos, set your asking price, and provide details about the item.

Be thorough and accurate about condition, disclosures, and anything else a potential buyer should know.

You can also specify which payment methods you're willing to accept.

Not quite ready to publish? Save your listing as a draft and finish it later.

Step 2: Submit Your Listing for Approval

When you're happy with everything, submit your listing.

Applicable listing fees are paid using NoBagrets credits.

You may also be able to select optional promotions to give your listing additional visibility.

Listings follow the applicable review process before publication. Eligible tester listings may be automatically approved when that setting is enabled.

Once approved, your item becomes available for members to discover in the marketplace.

Step 3: Respond to Interested Buyers

Interested members can send a Request to Buy or contact you through Message Seller.

Answer questions, discuss the details, and decide whether you'd like to proceed.

When you accept a buyer's request, your listing becomes Pending while payment arrangements are made.

Other members shouldn't be able to purchase the item while it's pending.

Step 4: Confirm Payment Received

Arrange payment directly with the buyer using a payment method you both agree upon.

Once you've actually received and verified the funds, select Confirm Payment Received.

This marks the item as sold and moves the transaction into fulfillment.

Don't confirm payment just because someone says they've sent it. Make sure you've actually received it.

NoBagrets does not process payments or verify that money has changed hands.

Step 5: Fulfill the Order

Once you've confirmed payment, it's time to get the item to the buyer.

You have two fulfillment options depending on what you've agreed upon.

Shipping

Package and ship the item according to your agreement.

Once shipped, select Mark as Shipped.

Enter the shipping carrier and tracking information when available.

The buyer should be able to see the shipment status and any tracking information you've provided.

Local Pickup

If you've arranged for the buyer to collect the item, select Arrange Local Pickup once it's available.

Coordinate pickup details directly with the buyer through NoBagrets messaging.

You don't need to provide shipping or tracking information for local pickup.

Regardless of the fulfillment method, the buyer confirms receipt after receiving the item.

Step 6: Buyer Confirms Receipt

When the buyer receives the item, they'll select Confirm Receipt.

The transaction will then be marked Completed.

You don't need to manually mark the sale complete when the buyer confirms receipt.

Step 7: Leave a Review

Once the transaction is completed, you and the buyer can review each other.

You can also respond to reviews.

A successful transaction and a positive reputation can go a long way toward helping other members feel comfortable buying from you.

Trading: Sometimes Swapping Is Even Better

  1. Find Item
  2. Message Member
  3. Agree on Terms
  4. Exchange
  5. Mark Traded

For mutual reviews, use Complete Transaction with your actual trading partner and ask them to confirm the exchange. Marking an item Traded without a partner record does not open reviews.

Not every bag needs to be bought or sold.

Sometimes you've got something another member wants, and they've got something you'd love to have.

That's where trading comes in.

Step 1: Find Something Available for Trade

Browse listings that are available for trading.

Review the item details and any trade preferences provided by the member.

Step 2: Message the Member

Interested in working out a trade?

Use NoBagrets messaging to contact the other member.

Discuss what you're offering and what you'd like in return.

NoBagrets doesn't currently use a separate automated trade-offer and acceptance system. Trading arrangements are made directly through messages.

Step 3: Agree on the Details

Make sure both members understand exactly what's being exchanged.

Discuss the condition of each item, any additional money involved, shipping costs, timing, and anything else that matters.

We strongly recommend getting the complete agreement in writing through your NoBagrets conversation.

That way, everyone knows what was agreed upon.

Step 4: Exchange Your Items

Ship your items or arrange a mutually agreed-upon exchange.

Share tracking information with each other when applicable.

NoBagrets doesn't handle shipping or guarantee that a trade will be completed successfully.

Step 5: Mark the Item Traded

Once the trade is completed, update the listing to Traded.

This lets other members know the item is no longer available.

If your agreement falls through, communicate with the other member and make sure the listing accurately reflects its availability.

ISO: In Search Of Something Special?

  1. Create ISO
  2. Publish
  3. Connect
  4. Arrange
  5. Close ISO

Ever find yourself hunting for a particular bag that nobody seems to have listed?

Maybe it's a discontinued color, a hard-to-find style, or something you regret not buying when you had the chance.

That's what ISO requests are for.

ISO stands for In Search Of.

Instead of listing something you're selling, you're telling the community what you're hoping to find.

Step 1: Create an ISO Request

Visit the ISO section and create a request describing what you're looking for.

Include as much useful information as you can, such as the brand, style, color, condition preferences, or other details.

The more specific you are, the easier it is for someone to recognize what you're searching for.

Step 2: Publish Your Request

Submit your ISO request using the available ISO workflow.

Once published, it becomes visible in the dedicated ISO section.

ISO requests are separate from regular marketplace listings, so members browsing items for sale won't have to sort through requests for things people are trying to find.

Step 3: Connect With Members

Someone might have exactly what you're looking for.

Or they might know somebody who does.

Interested members can contact you through the available communication tools to discuss a possible sale or trade.

Step 4: Work Out the Details

If you find someone who has the item, discuss the condition, price, payment, shipping, or trade arrangements.

As with other NoBagrets transactions, payment and fulfillment arrangements are handled directly between members.

Step 5: Close Your ISO

Found what you were looking for?

Congratulations!

Update or close your ISO request so other members know your search is over.

And enjoy your new bag.

At least until the next one catches your eye.

How Payments Work

This part is important, especially if you're used to buying through traditional resale marketplaces.

NoBagrets does not process payments between buyers and sellers.

We're providing a place for members to list items, find each other, communicate, and manage transaction progress.

When you buy something, you arrange payment directly with the seller using a method you both agree upon.

NoBagrets doesn't collect, hold, release, or guarantee those funds.

That also means buyers and sellers are responsible for choosing payment methods they're comfortable with and understanding any protections those methods may or may not provide.

For sellers, NoBagrets uses credits to pay applicable listing fees and optional promotions.

Those credits are separate from the money exchanged between buyers and sellers.

NoBagrets credits pay for marketplace services, not the items themselves.

A Few Things Worth Remembering

Communication Matters

Ask questions. Answer questions. Be clear about your expectations.

Whether you're buying, selling, or trading, good communication helps prevent misunderstandings.

Check the Details

Read descriptions, review photos, understand item conditions, and check member information before making agreements.

If something isn't clear, ask.

Keep Track of Your Transactions

Use the available transaction controls to keep your listings and purchases up to date.

Pending, Payment Received, Shipped or Local Pickup arranged, and Completed all mean different things.

Keeping statuses accurate helps everyone understand what's happening.

Reviews Help Build Trust

Take a moment to leave thoughtful reviews after completed transactions.

A member's reputation develops over time through real interactions with other members.

Something Not Right?

If you encounter inappropriate behavior, suspicious activity, or another problem involving a member, use NoBagrets' reporting tools.

We're committed to maintaining a respectful community, but we can't guarantee individual transactions or resolve every disagreement between buyers and sellers.

Ready to Get Started?

Now that you know how things work, it's time for the fun part.

Explore the marketplace, find your next bag, list something for sale, work out a trade, or create an ISO for that elusive item you've been hunting.

And if you're not a member yet, you can request an invitation to join.

Welcome to NoBagrets!

Buy it. Sell it. Trade it. No Bagrets.
